Arrive at Chandigarh railway station/airport and transfer to Shimla. Known as the Summer Capital of the Britishers and currently the capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla is one of India's most popular hill resorts, bustling with happy Indian vacationers escaping the heat. Situated at a height of 2200 meters, Shimla still retains its old-world charm with beautiful colonial architecture, a pedestrian-friendly Mall Road, and the Ridge lined with numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, excursion to Kufri. Kufri is famous for its Himalayan National Park, pony and yak rides, and one can see the endless Himalayan panorama from Kufri. After lunch, sightseeing of various places in and around Shimla, including Jakhoo Temple, Vice Regal Lodge (built in 1885), Botanical Garden, Christ Church (built in 1844), The Gaiety Theatre (where the first beauty contest in the world was supposed to start in 1887), The Ridge: An indispensable part of Shimla. Apart from being the cultural center, it houses the city's lifeline—the water reservoir with the capacity to store 1,000,000 gallons of water. These water tanks, placed under The Ridge, supply water to the entire town. Other attractions include The Scandal Point and the famous shopping plaza of the North Mall. Overnight at the hotel. Kali Bari Temple: A wooden image of the goddess Kali, to whom this temple is dedicated, is worshipped here. It's just a walking distance from The Main Mall Road, where you can visit this temple for a dose of spirituality and religion. Town Hall: This architectural marvel, which dates back to the colonial period, adds to the beauty of the surrounding architectural remains of the pre-independence era and is a must-visit for all admirers of skill and structural design. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and travel a distance of 265 km (8 hours). On the way, visit Sunder Nagar, Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Mata Temple, Kullu Valley, and then arrive at the hotel in Manali, also known as the Queen of Hill Stations and a mecca for adventure sports enthusiasts. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, sightseeing in and around Manali, including Hadimba Temple – also known as Dhungri Temple. As the name suggests, the temple is dedicated to Hidimba Devi, the wife of Bhima. Visit Manu Temple, Vashisht Bath (trek/walk to Jogini Falls optional), and Solang Valley. Located at about 8,400 feet above sea level, Solang Nala is a short drive away from Manali. It is a haven for adventure and sports lovers in Van Vihar. In the evening, enjoy shopping at the local market. Overnight at the hotel. OR (Excursion to Rohtang Pass at an additional cost) Rohtang Pass: Situated at an altitude of 3,979 meters above sea level, 51 km outside Manali, Rohtang Pass is the gateway to Lahaul-Spiti Valley. It offers a wide panoramic view of the mountains, showcasing the majesty of the mountains at their height and splendor. At the top of the pass, the air seems to glitter against the snow as you look down over herringboned ridges into the Lahaul Valley. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel (Closed on Tuesday). Note: Rohtang Pass is closed from November to May due to snow.
Checkout from the hotel and drive to Chandigarh. Chandigarh is the first planned modern city of India, designed by the French architect Le Corbusier. The city was named after the mother goddess of power, Chandi, whose temple, Chandi Mandir, is a feature of the new city. In the evening, visit Chandigarh Sightseeing. Rose Garden, located in Sector 16 of Chandigarh, showcases around 825 varieties of flowers and 32,500 varieties of trees and medicinal shrubs. Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden in Chandigarh, India. It is also known as Nek Chand’s Rock Garden after its founder, Nek Chand, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. Today, it covers an area of 40 acres. Sukhna Lake is subject to time availability. Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, India, is a reservoir at the foothills (Shivalik hills) of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive from Chandigarh to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to the railway station/airport.
