This trip is a mix of adventure, relaxation, and sightseeing, perfect for anyone looking to explore the best of Himachal.

Arrive at Chandigarh railway station/airport and transfer to Shimla. Known as the Summer Capital of the Britishers and currently the capital of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla is one of India's most popular hill resorts, buzzing with a happy flow of heat-escaping Indian vacationers. Situated at a height of 2200m, Shimla still retains its old-world charm with beautiful colonial architecture, a pedestrian-friendly Mall Road, and the ridge lined with multiple shops, cafes, and restaurants. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, excursion to Kufri. Kufri is famous for its Himalayan National Park, pony and yak rides, and one can see the endless Himalayan panorama from Kufri. After lunch, sightseeing of various places in and around Shimla, including Jakhoo Temple, Vice Regal Lodge (built in 1885), Botanical Garden, Christ Church (built in 1844), The Gaiety Theatre (where the first beauty contest in the world was supposed to start in 1887), The Ridge: An indispensable part of Shimla. Apart from being the cultural center, it houses the city's lifeline—the water reservoir with the capacity to store 1,000,000 gallons of water. These water tanks, placed under The Ridge, supply water to the entire town. Other attractions include The Scandal Point and the famous shopping plaza of the North Mall. Overnight at the hotel. Kali Bari Temple: A wooden image of the goddess Kali, to whom this temple is dedicated, is worshipped here. It's just a walking distance from The Main Mall Road, where you can visit this temple for a dose of spirituality and religion. Town Hall: This architectural marvel, which dates back to the colonial period, adds to the beauty of the surrounding architectural remains of the pre-independence era and is a must-visit for all admirers of skill and structural design. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and travel a distance of 265 km (8 hrs). On the way, visit Sunder Nagar, Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Mata Temple, and Kullu Valley, also known as the Queen of Hill Stations and a mecca for adventure sports enthusiasts. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, sightseeing in places in and around Manali, such as Hadimba Temple (also known as Dhungri Temple), which is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, the wife of Bheema. Visit Manu Temple, Vashisht Bath (trek/walk to Jogini Falls optional), Van Vihar, and enjoy evening shopping at the local market. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, excursion to Solang Valley. Located at about 8,400 feet above sea level, Solang Valley is a short drive away from Manali. It is a haven for adventure and sports lovers, and further to the Atal Tunnel, which leads to the North Pole. Atal Tunnel, also known as the Rohtang Tunnel, is a highway tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass on the Leh–Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh. With a length of 9.02 km, it is the longest single-tube highway tunnel above 10,000 feet (3,048 meters) in the world when completed. In the evening, enjoy leisure time. Overnight at the hotel. At the top of the pass, the air seems to glitter against the snow as you look down over herringboned ridges into the Lahaul valley. Note: Rohtang Pass is closed from November to May due to snow. (Closed on Tuesdays)
After breakfast, check out and proceed to Dharamshala, a distance of 260 kilometers. On the way, stop at the Baijnath Temple, located in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh, which holds high religious importance among followers of Hinduism. It is a highly popular temple as it houses one of the 12 holy jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in the country, and devotees from across the country throng the temple to offer prayers to the Lord. Known for its Shiva Temple, further on is Palampur, a beautiful hill station located in the Kangra Valley, about 35 km from Dharamshala. It gets its name from 'pulum,' meaning ‘abundant water.’ Unsurprisingly, the region has innumerable streams and brooks, and the water bodies are a huge boon for the tea plantations. Overnight stay at the hotel near the Tea Garden.
After breakfast, drive from Dharamshala towards Dalhousie. Visit the following places for local sightseeing:
  • St. John in the Wilderness Church: Located near Dharamshala and on the way to Mcleod Ganj, this neo-gothic church was built in dedication to John the Baptist.
  • Dalai Lama Temple: Just a short walk from the Mcleod Ganj bus stand, the Dalai Lama Temple is situated on the main temple road. Right next to the temple is the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The temple offers spiritual teachings of Buddhism.
  • Bhagsunath Temple: Surrounded by beautiful pools and lush greenery, Bhagsunath Temple is one of the oldest ancient temples, located about 3 kilometers from Mcleod Ganj. It is also popularly known as Bhagsunath Temple.
  • Dal Lake: Located at a height of 1,775 meters above sea level, near the village of Tota Rani in Mcleod Ganj, Dal Lake is a small yet picturesque lake. The lake is surrounded by rugged mountains and towering deodar trees. Set amidst lush deodar forests, this peaceful site is known for its Belgian stained-glass windows.
After sightseeing, overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy local sightseeing in Dalhousie, a popular hill station in Himachal Pradesh situated at a height of 1,970 meters above sea level. It is famous for its meadows, dense jungles, and waterfalls. Excursion to Panchpula, a popular picnic spot located 3.5 km from Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie, is surrounded by lush green pine and deodar trees. It is best known for the Saptdhara Waterfall. Khajjiar, also known as the 'Mini-Switzerland of India,' is a small town located 26 km from Dalhousie, known for its picture-perfect grassy meadows. A small lake lies in the middle of the meadows. You can enjoy various activities at your own cost, such as paragliding, zorbing, and horse riding, to make your day pleasant. St. Patrick's Church is one of the oldest churches in Dalhousie, located near Dalhousie Cantonment, just 2 km from the main bus stand. This dome-shaped shrine attracts not only devotees but also history buffs and architecture lovers. It is known to have been established by a group of British army officers. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Check out from the hotel and transfer to Chandigarh, a drive of around 6 hours, and drop off at the railway station or airport.
